MADE FROM GIR COW MILK: Gir Cows is native to the Gir Forest region in the Indian state of Gujarat. Milk of gir cows is considered to be of high quality, with a unique flavour and aroma that is derived from the diet and genetics of the cows. Gir cow’s milk is known for its high content of A2 beta-casein, which is believed to be easier to digest and less likely to cause digestive problems compared to A1 beta-casein found in the milk of other foreign breeds of cows.
MADE USING TRADITIONAL MEHTOD: A2 Gir Bilona ghee is produced from the milk of Gir cows using the traditional method of the Bilona. This method involves setting the curd of whole milk, churning of curd to obtain butter, and then slowly cooking the butter over cow dung cakes to form ghee. The use of Gir cow’s milk, combined with the traditional Bilona method of production, results in a high-quality ghee with unique flavour, aroma, and many health benefits.
USES: As per Ayurveda, Gir ghee consumption is considered to have numerous health benefits and is used in various forms of treatment, such as massage and medicinal consumption. It is believed to aid digestion, boost immunity, moisturize the skin, and improve brain function, among other benefits. It has a high smoke point that makes it ideal for all types of cooking.
